About us....

The Golden Fold Movement serves youth aged 11 – 18 by providing seminar based Big-Brother-type activities in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Contact: thegoldenfold @ yahoo (dot) com or call 757-248-3820. We meet the 2nd & 4th Saturday Monthly from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at Tidewater Community College's Virginia Beach Campus in room E-121 of the Lynnhaven Building. We are always accepting new participants.

Attitude & Altitude 4/14/2012 The Golden Fold

This Saturday ! (4/14/2012) The Golden Fold welcomes presenter Dr. Shawn J. Singleton presenting "Your attitude determines your altitude." This is a session you don't want to miss. Bring any and all youth aged 11 - 18 to this session !

Saturday from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at Tidewater Community College's Virginia Beach Campus in room E-121 of the Lynnhaven Building.

The Golden Fold is a "Brothers and Others" Community Improvement activity of the Gamma Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi and an Social Action project of the Men of S.A.B.B. of Virginia Beach's Tidewater Community College. The Golden Fold Mentor Movement serves youth aged 11 â€" 18 by providing seminar based Big-Brother-type activities in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We are always accepting new participants.. Download the application from the blog-website http://www.thegoldenfold.blogspot.com/ and bring the application to one of our Saturday sessions. The President of S.A.A.B. or Omega brother Kenji Ridley will accept the application and meet briefly with the guardian/parents responsible for the participant.

The Golden Fold

G.M.A.C., The Golden Fold Mentor Movement is a mentorship program serving young males and fathers. We serve 6th - 12th grade youth by providing Leadership and S.T.E.M. activities in Virginia Beach, Virginia's Green Run High School as an eveniung activity of Green Run's GMAC mentor program. We serve the concept of improved/involved fatherhood by providing fatherhood mentorship activities. Contact: thegoldenfold @ yahoo (dot) com . Our Lamplight Concepts

Our Lamplight concepts are Sound Adulthood (Responsibility, leadership, and being morally based), Scholarship (Financial savvy, Political awareness, and being coachable), Endurance (being unwavering, becoming and remaining self motivated), and Uplift (increasing one’s physical, mental, and spiritual strength while improving one’s self, family, and community).

Our Lamplight icons are Dr. Ernest Everett Just – Omega Psi Phi (Sound Adulthood), Arturo Schomberg – Kappa Alpha Psi (Scholarship), Thurgood Marshall (Endurance), and Dr. Martin Luther King – Alpha Phi Alpha (Uplift). Our former icon, Dr. Cosby, has been respectfully replaced due to recent controversy.
