The Golden Fold assists In-Home Counselors !

SHARE THIS WITH ANY IN-HOME COUNSELORS YOU MAY KNOW !

A Mentoring program to assist Intensive In-Home Counselors with their client !

Thanks for your interest in The Golden Fold !

We meet every 2nd & 4th Sunday from 4 - 5:30 begining in May 2011. Intensive In-Home Counselors are able to accompany their male clients between the ages of 12 - 18 to The Golden Fold Sessions. There is currently no cost for this program. Male In-Home counselors will be expected to remain in the room with thier clients the entire 4:00 - 5:30 pm session althought they will not have to maintain close proximity if they wish to provide their client's with a little 'space'. Female In-Home counselors will need to remain inside of Pembroke Mall and have a cellular phone handy in case of emergencies.

The program is very simple. We greet-meet with the mentees from 4:00 - 4:20 PM. At 4:20 PM two presenters will present 'therapeutic' life skill presentations based upon two of the Lamplight Concepts of the Golden Fold (listed below). After the presentations (around 5:00) the body will seperate into two discussion groups to process the information presented to ensure clarity and relevance to the mentees. At 5:30 the mentees will exit the room and be finished for the day. Upon arrival the In-Home counselor will sign-in brandishing thier company's badge and note the initials of the client's they have with them on that date. We will not record the name or any other persoanally identifying information of the counselor's clients to provide your client with confidentiality.

You are also welcome to bring a youth male aged 12 - 18 with you for our sessions. In-home counselors are encouraged to bring thier male clients, and are expected to remain throughout the session with their clients. We will also allow you to bring male children older than 9 years if they are your sons. We only extend this age waiver to men bringing their sons as it will aid our impression for the boys participating as mentees to actively see Fathers with their Sons. Feel free to share ths information with any other males over 25 years of age you think might be intrested in participating as mentors.

We meet in the Collective Arts Theatre (The C.A.T.) inside of Pembroke Mall which is two doors down from the GNC Vitamin store. The easiest way to get to the C.A.T. is by (1) entering near the movie theatre, (2) making a right turn at the intersecting hallway, (3) finally finding the C.A.T. on the far left just before one goes through the exit doors.

You will receive a reminder email if you have subscribed into our e-group. The reminders will come a week prior and a day prior to each meeting. You may subscribe to our e-group by sending an email to:
