The Golden Fold 11 02 2011 Da Groove Master Speaks

"I wanted to kill myself....but I'm still here."
Today we were visited by Da Groove Master, AKA Paul Brinson. Paul is the owner of the television show called Da Groove which airs in Hampton Roads, New Orleans, Mississippi, and New York.

Paul recounted the difficulties he had grwoing up with a disease "Lymphdema" which is commonly called The Elephant Man's disease. Paul's story shared the self esteem problems he had while one of his legs grew to the width of his torso and looked like a tree trunk.

Paul was forced to wear extremly baggy pants, which became fashionable for very thuggy youth in the 90s, and his emotional issues moved him into the direction where he developed a non-caring attitude as he handled life's stressors. Paul also briefly discussed his movements from a Pastor's son to a thug involved in street life.

Paul shared the secrets and not-so-secrets of success and his ability to change over the years. He discussed his entrees into the entertainment industry where he has placed music onto major record releases such as Hip-Hop artist The Game and working with music producer Timbaland.

Paul entered the session in shorts displaying the affected leg which has had numerous surgeries to make it's current size which is twice the size of his other leg.

Paul's uplifting message seemed to resonante with all participants, even The Golden Fold's first young-lady participant. This young lady is paving the way for other female peers who will join their male peers as the Young Leaders of our Big Brother program.

The session was video taped by Paul's film crew who is currently filming footage for Paul's reality series "Living as the Elephant Man" or something like that. Paul has decided to adopt The Golden Fold and will be sure to invite his famous personalities who will be filming Da Groove television show in the next coming months.
