The Golden Fold

G.M.A.C., The Golden Fold Mentor Movement is a mentorship program serving young males and fathers. We serve 6th - 12th grade youth by providing Leadership and S.T.E.M. activities in Virginia Beach, Virginia's Green Run High School as an eveniung activity of Green Run's GMAC mentor program. We serve the concept of improved/involved fatherhood by providing fatherhood mentorship activities. Contact: thegoldenfold @ yahoo (dot) com . The Golden Fold is a "Brothers and Others" Community Improvement activity of the Gamma Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi and the Gamma Xi Uplift Foundation.

Our Lamplight Concepts

Our Lamplight concepts are Sound Adulthood (Responsibility, leadership, and being morally based), Scholarship (Financial savvy, Political awareness, and being coachable), Endurance (being unwavering, becoming and remaining self motivated), and Uplift (increasing one’s physical, mental, and spiritual strength while improving one’s self, family, and community).

Our Lamplight icons are Dr. Ernest Everett Just – Omega Psi Phi (Sound Adulthood), Arturo Schomberg – Kappa Alpha Psi (Scholarship), Thurgood Marshall (Endurance), and Dr. Martin Luther King – Alpha Phi Alpha (Uplift). Our former icon, Dr. Cosby, has been respectfully replaced due to recent controversy.
