Prosperity,The Golden Fold will begin meeting on Saturday Jan. 14 ! We are looking forward to another great year. We will now accept young ladies into The Golden Fold and will join their male peers as being "Young Leaders". Now youth aged 11 - 18 can receive Big-Brother guidance in our program. We will remain as a Big-Brother program and we will also include a few Golden Sisters who are adult women who will be present in our sessions and provide a greater level of supervision for the young ladies who participate in our program. The Golden Fold Mentor Movement serves youth (males and females) aged 11 – 18 by providing seminar based Big-Brother-type activities in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Golden Fold is a "Brothers and Others" Community Improvement activity of the Gamma Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi and an Social Action project of the Men of S.A.B.B. of Virginia Beach's Tidewater Community College. We employ a Bonding-Presentation-Guidance model in most sessions. We meet the 2nd & 4th Saturday Monthly from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at Tidewater Community College's Virginia Beach Campus in room CW-134 of the Blackwater Building. The President of S.A.A.B. or Brother Seko Varner will accept the application and meet briefly with the guardian/parents responsible for the participant.
