At this community service event Young Leaders Brown, Gray, Morris, and Varner led a group of 60 youth and adults in learning about Cross Check, aiding the audience in learning about strategies to increase voters registration, and to help former felons who are off probation to have their voting rights restored. This event was done in conjunction with the Virginia Beach NAACP's youth group named Impact Virginia Beach. This event was held in the fellowship hall of First Lynnhaven Baptist Church in Virginia Beach. This event began with the showing of the film "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy" and ended with discussions on strategies to stop and prevent Cross Check, ways to regain voting rights for former felons and responses to promote voters registration.
