Call Me Mister 2017 & 2016 @ #LongwoodUniversity

(Left to Right) Young Leaders Morris (Green Run High), Varner (Landstown High), and Savage (Green Run High) have participated in Longwood University's FREE Call Me Mister Summer Leadership Academy in 2016 & 2017 (http://www.longwood.edu/callmemister). They stayed on Longwood's campus, attended leadership sessions, attended campus events, and escaped their parents for a while. Here are some of their photos from 2016.

The mission of the Call Me MISTER (Men Instructing Students Toward Effective Role Models) National Initiative is to increase the pool of available teachers from a broader, more diverse background, particularly among the State's lowest performing elementary schools.

The Golden Fold Mentor Movement serves 6th - 12th grade youth by providing seminar based Big-Brother-type activities in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
