Scenes from our 04 26 14 Field Trip to the ATC, TCC of Va. Beach, and VoTech centers.

Thanks to Dr. Brandon Martin, Dr. George Parker, and Richard Green for arranging this Golden Fold/GMAC field trip which allowed our Young Leaders to visit the Advanced Technology Center, Tidewater Community College, and the Virginia Beach City Schools VoTech center. Thanks to our tour leader Dr. Brandon Martin. This "Washington-Dubois" event combined knowledge of skills based and educational opportunities.

The Golden Fold Mentor Movement serves youth by providing seminar based S.T.E.M.& Big-Brother-type activities in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Golden Fold

G.M.A.C., The Golden Fold Mentor Movement is a mentorship program serving young males and fathers. We serve 6th - 12th grade youth by providing Leadership and S.T.E.M. activities in Virginia Beach, Virginia's Green Run High School as an eveniung activity of Green Run's GMAC mentor program. We serve the concept of improved/involved fatherhood by providing fatherhood mentorship activities. Contact: thegoldenfold @ yahoo (dot) com . Our Lamplight Concepts

Our Lamplight concepts are Sound Adulthood (Responsibility, leadership, and being morally based), Scholarship (Financial savvy, Political awareness, and being coachable), Endurance (being unwavering, becoming and remaining self motivated), and Uplift (increasing one’s physical, mental, and spiritual strength while improving one’s self, family, and community).

Our Lamplight icons are Dr. Ernest Everett Just – Omega Psi Phi (Sound Adulthood), Arturo Schomberg – Kappa Alpha Psi (Scholarship), Thurgood Marshall (Endurance), and Dr. Martin Luther King – Alpha Phi Alpha (Uplift). Our former icon, Dr. Cosby, has been respectfully replaced due to recent controversy.
