Images from our 3/24/15 Engineering Egg Drop Session

This session was focused on our Young Leaders constructing a protective device to prevent an unboiled egg from cracking when dropped from 10 feet by only using balloons, plastic straws, tape, and cardboard.

Yeah..........One egg cracked............

The Golden Fold Mentor Movement is a mentor-ship program serving young males and fathers. We serve 6th - 12th grade youth by providing Leadership and S.T.E.M. activities in Virginia Beach, Virginia. G.M.A.C., The Golden Fold Mentor Movement is a mentorship program serving young males and fathers. We serve 6th - 12th grade youth by providing Leadership and S.T.E.M. activities in Virginia Beach, Virginia's Green Run High School as an eveniung activity of Green Run's GMAC mentor program. Our Lamplight Concepts

Our Lamplight concepts are Sound Adulthood (Responsibility, leadership, and being morally based), Scholarship (Financial savvy, Political awareness, and being coachable), Endurance (being unwavering, becoming and remaining self motivated), and Uplift (increasing one’s physical, mental, and spiritual strength while improving one’s self, family, and community).

Our Lamplight icons are Dr. Ernest Everett Just – Omega Psi Phi (Sound Adulthood), Arturo Schomberg – Kappa Alpha Psi (Scholarship), Thurgood Marshall (Endurance), and Dr. Martin Luther King – Alpha Phi Alpha (Uplift). Our former icon, Dr. Cosby, has been respectfully replaced due to recent controversy.
